GOALS
- To get away from her adoptive family, particularly her eldest "brother".
- To find a man of darkness and elegance that does not feel the need to force his entire family into cannibalism..
- To revive an ancient potion passed down and forgotten by the Snaythe family.
- Attempt to cure Lycanthropy.
FEARS
- The Death Eaters, outside of the ones she trusts, learning the origin of her blood.
- Aging
SECRETS
- Julianna passes herself off as half-blood, but she is really muggleborn.
- Julianna is far more terrified of her adoptive brother, Vincent, than the Dark Lord, but acts otherwise.
WEAKNESSES
-Dueling - If you can't cast a proper spell, you are simply no use in a duel. Often times, even a spell to disarm an opponent will turn into a broken arm or simply have no effect whatsoever. The strongest spells she knows are curses, and, obviously, most of them are illegal or extremely dangerous.
-Men - Not being around many people in her life, Julie has had a terrible time with men. They have either been way too far out of her league or simply arrogant and prideful. Her expectations for a mate is quite high, and she has found only a handful of bachelors that meet her standards. No matter though, as she also appreciates the company of women.[/ul]
STRENGTHS
+Herbology - To further her knowledge of the many plants within the subject, she keeps herself around greenhouses and the outdoors, taking special care to develop new ways of tending to the many varieties. A popular plant of her own breding is the Sithis Lily. A blood-red variety of the flower with near-black leaves and a potent, toxic sap.
+Dark Arts - Having the dark magic forced on her from a young age, Julianna is naturally skilled in the black field. Mostly, she takes an interest in the historical part of the Arts, however, she is skilled enough with a wand to know a great deal of curses and hexes. In fact, these are about the only spellcraft she can perform properly.[/ul]
BEST MEMORY
I do not have many happy memories...or thoughts, for that matter. I do remember...There have been times in the past when Dyonisius and I would spend our nights in the library of the manor. He is a wonderful man, truthfully, yet callous at times. We would spend the afternoon and the first half of the evening pouring over old textbooks and multiple accounts of the Snaythe famiyl history. I wish...I'd had more nights like that...
WORST MEMORY
It is rare that I speak out against Vincent. He is a powerful man, and utterly terrifying. Early in my days there, I spoke out of line...and immediatly regretted it. Though he would not strike his sister, Victoria, other women meant nothing to him. I...really only remember a great deal of glass and steel. When I had awoken, I was alone in my room. Dyonisius came in later, and it was then that I had discovered a great deal of wounds along with the lacking sight in my right eye. It was never healed, and the scars were kept from closing to remind me of my impertinence...
OVERALL PERSONALITY
+Great Faith - Though there is a great evil spreading throughout the wizarding world, Julianna still holds on to the hope that good shall prevail. She generally believes that there is good in everyone, despite the condition of their minds and souls, and she always tries to bring that out of everyone she meets. Even her family, with their murderous, cannibalistic ways, have their moments.
+Optimistic - While many people tend to balance between pessimism and optimism, Julianna has a very happy disposition on life. There is no need to see the glass as half-empty or half-full when you should just be happy that there is something there. Julie did not have a terribly glamourous childhood, so she has learned to respect and cherish every moment of her life.
+Humble - There are too many arrogant, over-zealous people in the world, and this witch refuses to contribute to that population. She tends to pull the focus away from herself and takes to complimenting others as well as trying to boost their own self-esteem and pride while keeping her own in check.
-Lonesome - Despite her sunny disposition and desire to help people, Julianna has always been a very lonely woman. She hardly saw any of her adoptive family during the day, and at night it was mostly for lessons or the occasional midnight rendevous with Dyonisius.
-Absent-minded - Because of the amount of time on her hands and the little responsibility that she has, Julie can often lose herself for days within the pages of old texts or over a bubbling cauldron. At times, she forgets to eat or even sleep, leaving her quite worn out once her interest has dropped.
-Untrustworthy - Other than releasing some information about her family to the school, Julianna tends to keep her life very secretive. There are new whispers of evil in this world, and the last thing she needs is for everyone to accuse her of being a murderer or just a plain unpleasent person. This is the first oppertunity in her life to make a good deal of friends, and she does not want to ruin her chances.
-Childish - While having some years behind her, she retains an air of youth that is usually rather healthy. However, she has also had little social interaction in her life and is therefore considered very childish in certain situations. She can easily become overly excited over foolish or mundane things and it tends to reflect back on her.
-Tempermental - Julianna's anger does not flair up often, but when it does, it is quite a frightening sight. Due to the air of immaturity within her, things tend to get broken, or people hurt. She tries to keep herself in check, but sometimes it is difficult.[/ul]
WAND
11 3/4 INCHES
BLOODWOOD - A particular wood from deep in Bolivia. Its properties vary from person to person based on their particular alignments, astrological signs, and personality. It tends to chose people who have difficulty with other wands or who are unsure of their past or future. In Julianna's case, it is both.
RUNESPOOR FANG - As with the rest of her adoptive family, her wand was blessed with the dark core of the runspoor fang. Prevalent in Dark Magic, the fangs come from the mouths of the three-headed snake. Julie's apperantly came from the middle head; the dreamer.
PATRONUS Being of such a dark background, it is difficult for her to produce one, though, when it does appear, it generally takes the form of an aubergine-colored wolf.
BOGGART Vincent Snaythe.

SIBLINGS
Julianna has five adoptive siblings.
VINCENT GORDAIN SNAYTHE
52 YEARS||THE HUMAN CARPENTER
Vincent is a very outspoken man. Although generally violent, he seems at ease around his equally twisted friends, which makes life at Snaythe Manor much calmer. This dark man has been know to swipe innocent bystanders off the streets, wizards, witches, and muggles alike. He has no prejudice for blood. It all spills the same.
HARALAMBOS DRACTULIS SNAYTHE
50 YEARS||THE HUMAN BUTCHER
The most laid back of the Snaythes, Haralambos spends his time in the kitchen preparing meals of societal disgust. This sick pastime has earned him reputation in Helsinki's Rancan Alley as the Human Butcher. However, despite his morbid occupation, he is quite the prankster, always poking around Pythori or trying to inebriate Dyonisius. He is good friends with Viktor Sprante, another dark prankster from the Vampire Tobias' clan. They are often seen together plotting out new practical jokes or attempting to get as shit-faced as possible.
PYTHORI GEORID SNAYTHE
48 YEARS||A SLAIN DREAMER
Pythori is a quite man who rarely speaks a word to even his own family. He wasn't always this way, however. A few years ago he had a fiancee, Sari Floris. They were quite the inseperatable couple, until one night, he returned to Snaythe Manor only to find her in another man's arms. A friend's arms. In a wild fit of rage, Pythori tore the man in half with his bear hands before turning on his fiancee. He twisted and contorted her body so that she hung high with her back to the ceiling. The brokenhearted man then melted candles to her broken limbs to create a macabre chandelier.
VICTORIA DRUCILLIA SNAYTHE
47 YEARS||A GRIM ARTIST
Victoria is a great artist and an extraordinary vocalist. Her paintings are reknown in the dark corners of Helsinki, and they sell quite rapidly. Musically, Victoria is unmatched. She carries the most elegant voice a man could ever want...And the price that comes with it, for the sound of her song is said to crush the minds of all who hear it. Aside from being an artist, she is also an exceptional potioneer, studying deep into the texts of her ancestors.
DYONISIUS EVERNIGH SNAYTHE
46 YEARS||A LOST SOUL
The youngest of the Snaythes, Dyonisius has proved to be stronger than any of them could ever had imagined. Though lacking great physical strength, the young man has set up the endurance to tolerate his brother's contant killings and been able to defend himself somewhat against Vincent's occasional beatings. He proposed to Julianna shortly before she left for England and has threatened to follow her to remain by her side.
OVERALL HISTORY[/ul]
Mudblood. That is the name she has come to know over the years as her own. Julianna was born to a struggling psychologist and his schizophrenic wife. Due to his wife's postpardum depression and inability to cope with the caring of a child, and with little money himself, he sent the girl away to the Helsinki Institute for Girls.
Julianna was raised in the orphanage until the age of five. Shortly before her sixth birthday, a young man with striking platnium hair came into her presence, and she was immediatly fearful of him. She learned later on that he'd planned to take some children with him for god knows what kind of heinous experiments, and that he had charmed his apperance to appear kind, attractive, and warm. Julianna was the only person in the building who was unfooled by this magic. This changed his original plan, and he ended up taking her, completely petrified.
Despite the dark magic and abundant scent of death about Snaythe Manor, Julianna had a decent childhood. She was taught well, despite the nature, and she had healthy relationships with three of the five other people in the home. She would run to Haralambos or Victoria if she was scared, and ended up learning to deal with Vincent's temper and punishments over the years.
She was not given a formal education, instead being taught mostly by Victoria. Vincent would later impose a great deal of the Dark Arts upon her, but her sister stuck strictly to herbology, potions, and runes. Victoria was a beautiful woman with a great deal of knowledge behind her. She awoke a love of history and literature in Julianna and, still to this day, instills her wisdom in the girl.
By the age of twenty, Julianna was passionatly involved with Dyonisius, and they were rarely seen apart. He would take her into town and buy her the most elegant dresses and most expensive jewelry one could possibly imagine. This frivolous waste of the Snaythe fortune angered Vincent, and he drove the two apart, claiming he had more to teach Dyon about the art of fleshcrafting. This was an obvious lie. Half of the time, the youngest brother would simply be forced to watch his kinsmate contort living humans into outrageous, yet incredible works of art. Julianna often listened to the screams below the front room floor to judge when Dyonisius would be dismissed so she would be able to catch him before bed.
Many years passed like this, and, by the time Julianna had turned fourty, they were recieving great bails of letters from outside their country asking for help against this dark lord who had basically encaptured all of England and was slowly spreading his influence. People would write letters of cowardice or claim that a Snaythe owed them some assinine favor which never existed. The letters stopped when Vincent tracked down every last one of the complaintents. However, this war peaked his interest, and he decided to investigate.
Vincent would spend days in his study, leaving Julianna and Dyonisius to be together once more. After five years, he emerged with a task for Julie. He was not afraid of the dark lord's influence disrupting his own, however, he wanted the allegance of some of his "Death Eaters". Although, despite his lust for blood and torment, Vincent was a very logical and malliciously playful man. He wanted to gage this "Voldemort"'s reaction when he realized that half of his army had left him to stand along side a much more dangerous man.
Julianna was sent to gather information and determine the worth of these people. If they were simply arrogant fools, Vincent would take just as much delight in slaughtering the lot of them.
The night before she left, Dyonisius left a ring upon her finger. Where he disappeared to that morning, she was unsure of. However, she was sent off to England before she could put too much thought into it, and arrived in quite a bit of a predicament.
Being a rather universal language, Julianna was taught some english, however, it was difficult to understand when fifty people around her were all speaking at once. Eventually, she found her way to the village of Hogsmeade and was put up at the Hog's Head for a few days. There, she learned that the Death Eaters had taken over a local wizarding school, and was eager to run off and apply. It would be the perfect place to keep an eye on things while practicing the arts she loved.
The interview with the headmaster was rather uncomfortable. He asked her obnoxious and difficult questions, and had the air of Pythori Snaythe about him. Though, he was quite attractive...Besides the point. Julianna answered them the best she could, using an incomplete understanding of the english language as an excuse. Just before he dropped the interview and rejected her, she brought up her family and their extensive history in potions. Gordain Snaythe, the fraternal great-grandfather of her family, was the inventor of two difficult and deadly poisons.
The Grasper Tonic; a potion whose strength is determined by how long it has been brewed. It ranges from tightening the drinker's windpipe enough to make it difficult to breathe all the way to actually contorting the throat inward, preventing air from entering, and cutting off most circulation to the brain. He also created a very powerful poison called the Kedaver Toxin. It takes years to brew a proper batch, but a single drop of it is enough to instantly kill a single person. Just the fumes from it are dangerous enough to cause its actual production to be very dangerous. Unlike most potions, it does not have to be drank. A drop on the skin is enough to cause instant death. Julianna learned how to brew the grasper tonic, but was unable to learn the other. She did, however, steal the instructions before she left.
That seemed enough to impress him, and she was given the job nearly on the spot. It would have been difficult to explain herself otherwise. However, his interest in her family made her uncomfortable. Apperantly, the Dark Lord knew of the Snaythes, and was quite interested in meeting with them. At least, thats how he made it sound. She told him she could not just demand a meeting of Vincent Snaythe, but she would write to him and slowly suggest the idea. That would give her an excuse to send multitues of owls throughout the month.
After finally settling in, and many letters of apology from Dyonisius for missing her the day of her travels, she had grown quite comfortable at the school, and was not looking forward to returning home any time soon.

((This is from my Snape character from another site.))
Of all the nights to need such an elusive ingredient, it would be on the stormiest day of the year. Snow and winter have given way to cold spring rains and the night air only made it worse. The ground was already quite muddy and difficult to walk through and Severus idley wondered why he constantly put himself through this sort of thing.
He was sure he'd had enough skull cap on hand when he started brewing that evening. No doubt Potter and his friends had something to do with it. He'd taken to leaving them well enough alone, but they always seemed to find him, insight some sort of prank, and cause an all out war to see who would have the last word. Having four people on his side, it was usually Potter.
Just thinking his name brought a sour expression to Severus' face. He could worry about who did what later on. Right now, he needed all of his concentration so he wouldn't fall victim to the countless violent creatures in the forest. It was bad enough he'd nearly broke his nose after tripping over a protruding root and managed to fall in the mud several times, completely coating his robes with muck.
After several hours of searching and tripping, he finally came upon a grove that was surprisingly close to the Hogwarts border of the forest. He'd basically walked in a giant circle and cursed himself for it. But such was his life. Several snips and blades came out of his pockets, and he began the task of harvesting the purple flowers. They were not difficult to obtain, but gloves had to be worn because the oils could cause an odd confused, giddy feeling.
The tops of the flowers came off fine, but the leaves were being quite stubborn. It wasn't long before his hand flinched and soem of the oil spit at his face, seemingly directed at his eyes. Severus let out a strange sound, kind of a combination between a yelp and a cry of frustration. He wiped frantically at his eyes, but he knew it was only a matter of time before the effects set in. He wouldn't make it out of the forest before then, and this area seemed safe enough, so he decided just to stay there. Hopefully the skull cap was not influencing his decisions...

P.S. I read the rules, and I say, "Protect your bishop, Glenn."
*I saw that the Potions position mentioned Rookwood, but I figured I would apply anyway, just in case it was actually open. If not, I'll rewrite my app a bit.
