Dove Harrington I pushed threw the entance to come stand in the hallway. My heart pounding slightly. I knew at once I was late for class. "Why should I bother?" I sighed, leaning against the wall. Knowing it was only care of stupid creatures. What was so important about it?! It was stupid, and lonely, and well, boring. But my next glass was right out side the doors. Flying. I loved flying. I even showed up when i was late. "Why can't I just skip the Creatures thing and do the flying lessions all the time." I muttered to myself softly. "Soooo what to do?" I thought softly. Looking at the hall way. The weirdo could be around. The one with the tabby cat. I looked around and opened my chap to let Snake, my black cat with red eyes exit the large pocket I created for him. "Sniff Snake, where are those two fools?" I asked gently. My face dropping down to him. "Tell me boy." I said smiling. I watched him part his mouth and than his fur spiked up. He was turned towards the entance. "Shoot." I gasped as I bolted down the hall way. My cat at my heals. We turned three corners before we stopped. I breathed a sigh of relief, but I knew it wasn't over. Looking around the corner I saw his cat. But his cat was heading the wrong way. Than I saw him follow her. Smiling I slide down the wall in happiness, notice I was somewhat near the library, and yet closer to some of the classes. Looking around wildly, I knew why the left. Because they thought they had won. Well I thought differently, bolting to the other side of the gapping hallway, I ran from the classrooms and such. My heart racing, I watched Snake keeping glancing over her shoulder. We both did this. We both feared we be cought. But it was more fun to run than to be cought. To be sent to Snape. The Head master. To listen to the Dark Lord brag about how he won. Boring. I just wanted to be powerful. Just wanted to be normal. But who would call me normal. I was a mudblood. A quick, tongue twister, mudblood, who everone looked down upon, cause our parents were humans. Not able to us magic. But who cared. Who wished that I, was named that. I was strong. I could be a vampire, a were wolf. Now I narrowed my eyes and turned away. I leaned against a wall and slide till my butt touched the ground.

Al was sitting on the floor of one of the hallways which was his usual as it seemed that most of his encounters happened in the hallways of Hogwarts. This time, however, he had Archimedes, his owl, with him on the floor. The two were enjoying that small time they had together outside of the owlery, something that was rare with all of Al’s classes and need to turn in early. Archie, as Al called him, was sitting on a book that was, humorously enough, called Owls of The World. The both of them had their eyes set on a cat, that was now taking a turn around the corner right in front of them at high speed. Right behind the cat was a rather old man, limping quickly to catch up with his pet. It was obviously Mrs, Norris and her owner, Filch. No doubt the two thought they had caught someone in the act of breaking a few rules, something that Al was not going to get pinned for, not this time. Filch did a quick glance over at Al as he passed, but didn’t do anything aside from calling out to his pet. Al slowly gathered up his books, removing the owl from atop his perch on Owls of The World, and placing Archie on his shoulder. Filch’s little glance had been a warning, that he should pick up and move on before he was pinned for being out of class. Archie shrieked as Al slung his bag over the owl-less shoulder and started to walk.
Just up ahead of the pair, were two figures, one cat, one human. The human was sliding to the floor with her back to the wall, while the cat appeared to be keeping an eye out for danger. Archie shrieked again at the sight of the cat and flew off to one of the higher stone pillars that lined the hall, just out of reach of the cat, but not far enough from Al to be deemed a lost pet. Al tilted his head down some so that he was looking down his nose at the witch sitting on the ground near the cat. “What is Delacroix like you doing in the halls when you should be in class?” he looked down at the cat with an odd expression, it was obviously trained to alert its mistress, and that could be a problem if Filch came back, seeing as the two cats would make quite a ruckus in the halls. Al paused a moment before leaning against the wall next to the witch, though he remained standing and looked down at her as if she were an interesting book.

Dove Harrington Moments pasted into minutes as we, Snake and I, sat there catching our breath. A rush of well, I don't know how to describe it, came threw my veins. I had to do it again. SO I sat there, listening to the foot=steps that seemed to draw near us. I froze, waiting for the me-ow of the cat. But nothing came. Until I heard it. I stopped and turned my head towards the owl screeching. Snake as well, getting ready to attack, when we notice it wasn't any one dangerous. Just some owl, with a boy in Marvolio colors. "Calm down Snake..." I whispered softly. Stretching I was about to get up when he asked me, well a question that seemed rather stupid. 'What is Delacroix like you doing in the halls when you should be in class?' I of course laughed at his remark. It was a deep laugh, a true laugh. I was so shocked. I was slightly know for ditching, but always getting cought. This time, I guessed, he had been the one cought, not mon. "What do you think I am doing. Ditching." I replyed than steading my glaze to his, I said swiftly. "And what is a Marvolio like you doing out here right now?" I asked climbing to my feet swiftly. My blonde hair bouncing as I strumbled. "Snake, go check if Filch and his cat is coming. Remember me-ow twice if he is." I replyed. Watching my cat nod once and trot off. Turning my blue eyes towards the Marvolio boy, I blinked three times than asked. "What's your name Marvolio? It's very rude that I call you Marvolio when you have a name." More including me, I was always alittle forgetful, fogeting names of people I never really talked to and such. That was the problem with this boy. I never really saw him at all. Tilting my head I tried to fingure out where I had seen him. His face was slightly rememberable. "Do I know you from any of my classes?" I asked out softly. I waited his answer as Snake came back. "Me-ow." Snake replyed and I knew the chost was clear. So bending down I snatched Snake and placed him in the small pocket I had put in my chap. He seemed to stare blankly at the owl though. I smiled at my cat and nodded gently, at how he was reacting with an owl near by. He was used to being around a few owls, not ones he never knew. I patted his head and turned to the boy.

Al smirked and shook his head at her remark about ditching. He had quite a few classes that he didn’t enjoy, but he wasn’t one to ditch. “Ditching will only get points removed, and I was on my way to class. Archie was just keeping me company during my homework assignment.” he pointed up at the barn owl that was now puffing his feathers out to look cute. Al watched the conversation between the cat and the girl with very little interest. His eyebrows raised slightly at her questions as the cat ran off and returned. Pulling away from the wall, he crossed his arms and answered. “Yes, I have a name, as do most people...And I’m sure we have shared classes together, though I figure you for one that ditches most of her classes, so I’m not sure which we would have been in together.” he said, his eyes narrowed as he spoke. He saw her as a lesser being, one who was not very well learned and he might very well be right. Ditching classes was a sin in his eyes, seeing as you needed to learn all of the things they taught here if you wanted to survive. Archie hooted once and took off from his perch, landing on Al’s right shoulder and turning his back to the girl; he then rotated his head to look back at her, fixing his gaze on both her and the cat in her arms.
“My name is Aldebaran Zephyr Orion....This is Archimedes....I’m a fifth year student, my house is obvious.” He uncrossed his arms and pulled his bag over his other shoulder some more to keep it from sliding off. Archie closed one eye, but kept the other squinted so that he could watch the cat. Al suddenly wondered which class she could possibly hate enough to ditch. “What class are you ditching? I find most of them here are quite interesting, though Divination is not one of my favorites, and I could do without Muggle Studies.” he said the word “Muggle” as if it was a swear word. Again his insensitivity was kicking in, most Delacroix house members were Half-Bloods, though some were Mudbloods, and he didn’t give it one bit of thought on the fact that a member of that house would take offence at his way of saying “Muggle”. In a way, Al was surprised that the Dark Lord allowed Mudbloods in his school, but then again, they could do magic. Better to train them for his army then to let the enemy train them for theirs.

Dove Harrington I nodded looking at the boy with a un-natural look. It was straight and cold, like the smooth end of a pebble. Sighing I turned my face away. He was just getting on my nervse now. So I tryed to play it cool. “Ditching will only get points removed, and I was on my way to class. Archie was just keeping me company during my homework assignment.” He said. I justed rolled my eyes and looked back. "Yeah I know. But why should I care, I'm not the only one that ditches. Any one would if they could. And when I get cought I'll..."
[/color]I stopped. I was just bragging to the boy my best way out of getting cought ditching. "Never mind. Scratch that out." I mumbled. So there I was bitting back a swift and angry respounce as his owl gave me some freaky weird look. But it was to wards me it was to wards my cat. "Well it's nice to meet you Aldebaran, could you get your owl to stop looking at my cat, his claws are digging into me." [/b]I replyed smoothly and calmly. Looking a little bit in pain, even though, I knew it would pass. So I waited. Than he spoke. “What class are you ditching? I find most of them here are quite interesting, though Divination is not one of my favorites, and I could do without Muggle Studies.”[/u] I flinched at that. He didn't like Muggles so i should of bolted it out of there. I into didn't really like it, but of course, I was a Mudblood, and well, that should of, and did affect me. I took a small step away from Aldebaran and turned my eyes away from him. "Could you possible stop disting muddles. Some of us in Hogwarts have to deal with that every day." My face was beat red, and I felt like yanking my curlly blonde hair out. Than I took a few, shakey deep breaths and turned to him again. "I am ditching Care of Magical Creatures." [/b]I replyed smoothly and calmly now. "Next I have Flying. What do you have?" [/b]I asked, changing the subject. I studied his face, though, but yet it was hard to tell I was. Snake, his claws piecing my skin now, won't let go, he had his eyes hooked on the owl. At the moment I saw blood I dropped Snake and brought my arm to my mouth. Covering the blood, so no one, I mean, No vampire could scent it and come ful speed to kill me. I kept sucking on my arm until I knew the blood would stop coming. "Sorry, your owl is just freaking my cat out a little." [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Al shrugged when she asked him to make Archie stop looking at her cat. “Not much I can do about that, he likes cats”. Al then looked over at Archie, who did a double take to look at him and the cat, before turning his head around right and taking off, his destination was the small wall about twenty feet behind Al. Al yawned slightly and tilted his head when the girl flinched, and yet again asked something of him; this time to stop disrespecting Muggles. He suddenly frowned and replied with a snort. “Why? You a care about them?” he was getting the impression that she was a Mudblood, seeing as any self-respecting Half-Blood would pretend they didn’t care about the Muggles, and most weren’t pretending. “Care of Magical Creatures is interesting, I’ve got potions, then Transfiguration next..” he said it so matter of factly that it almost seemed that he couldn’t be put off by anything, but underneath the act, he was starting to wish he hadn’t kept this conversation going. She dropped the cat suddenly and started to suck the wound that had been made by his claws. Al twisted his mouth in a bored way and lazily looked over his shoulder at his owl, who looked like he had been whipped. With a quick jerk of his head, Al signaled to Archie to return to the owlery. The owl screeched in response, taking to the air with two mighty flaps of his wings.
“So you hate Care of Magical Creatures, why is that? And you are going to show up for flight? Or ditch it too?”Al was suspicious of the whole ordeal, seeing as she was so open with the fact that she was ditching and that she obviously had a way of getting out of being caught or had something to aid her when she was caught. “And I didn’t catch your name...” he added, as he pulled his bag off his left shoulder and transferred it to his right, now that Archie was gone. He had about fifteen minutes before his class started, so he hoped the girl had a good explanation.

Dove Harrington I rolled my eyes again and sighed. "Fine." She muttered and looked away. When he asked “Why? You a care about them?” I just flinched again. "It's not about caring you know. It that I have to live in the same house as they do. So I guess I took a likeing to a few." I mumbled on, looking away. 'Yeah like myself.' She thought softly loooking back at the boy when he spoke again. “Care of Magical Creatures is interesting, I’ve got potions, then Transfiguration next..” He seemed into of course, only because his matter of fact tone made it sound like it. "Oh well, I just hate learning about the magical creatures. I thought they all ran away when you know you died?" I did dare mention his name, or who I was talking about. So I shrugged and looked away. Thinking of some way to answer his next question. “So you hate Care of Magical Creatures, why is that? And you are going to show up for flight? Or ditch it too?” So I told him the truth before. "Like I said, I hate the magical creatures, there a bore. But I LOVE flying. It gives you a sence of freedom. Like your on top of the world, even for a moment." I said, smiling spinning around once. I watched him slowly. His body language gave me the imperssion he was suspicious, but that could've been just me. So I kept my smile hidden under a straight face. “And I didn’t catch your name...” He spoke. I shrugged and looked at him, "My name.. hmmm... lets see it has Dove in it, Harrington and Lee." I muttered looking away. Than I turned my face back and flashed him a greeting smile. "Hi. I'm Dove Lee Harrington." I reached my hand out to shake his. Snake was beside me, watching the owl vanish. So I guessed he was thinking I was safe. "And if you ever need a person to show you how to ditch. I'm your girl." I added, a fake smile placed upon my face. 'Ha, like he take the offer, no one ditches really, and Head Master Snape still gets past my way of getting un-cought.' I thought darkly. My eyes widening slightly. Flich was coming. So I quickly, leaned past Aldebaran shoulder and looked. No sign of him yet. I sighed and looked at Snake. "Can you please check once more Snake. I need to get that way to class." I said sweetly. He nodded and gave me a big me-ow before leaving.

Al looked down at the hand that was offered to him as if it might bite him. The way the girl, Dove Harrington, had just flashed that smile, made him quite uneasy. He felt like she was going to curse him if he took the offered hand, but felt it would also be rude beyond compare if he didn’t take the hand and at least attempt to shake it. Al stuck his hand out cautiously, eying Dove the whole time, just waiting for her to make that move. His hand made contact with hers only briefly, just long enough to shake it twice before he pulled it away and stuffed it back into his pocket. “Well, I don’t think I will ever need to ditch a class, but thanks for the offer...I’ll just stick to toughing it out through lessons I don’t like.” Al watched her suddenly look around his shoulder and ask Snake, her cat, to check once more for Filch. Al frowned quickly and looked at Dove with an expression of pure confusion; who names their cat Snake? “Snake, that’s an odd name for a cat...Why did you name him that?” he asked, curiosity getting the better of him.
It wasn’t everyday that he ran across someone who had an animal named after another animal. But he guessed it was like naming a dog or owl, Pig or Bull. Such strange names popped up in the Wizarding world, some were so strange, that it was a wonder the animal didn’t protest to such an atrocity and lash out at their owners. It was even worse to name one’s child after an animal, but was not unusual in the Wizarding world....Nor even in the Muggle world so it would seem. “We really should be getting back to our classes, Filch won’t take any excuses I have, seeing as I never skip classes. And I don’t think you can come up with one to get you off.” His voice expressed his skepticism; this girl may have skills, but he doubted greatly that she could pull something like that off.

Dove nodded in approval. At least he was cautious. Randomly meeting a girl in the hallway. Not such a good idea, never meeting her before, still not a good idea. But she smiled again and this time gentle, and normal. Nodding she added. "Haha, just think of my offer." He replyed to his, I don't think I'll need the offer remark. “Snake, that’s an odd name for a cat...Why did you name him that?” He asked. She nodded. "It's odd, but different, no one, I bet, would be here naming there animal after another animal, so it makes Snake different. Plus, he is different yet the same, as everyone around us." Dove replyed, looking for her cat again. "Speaking of which. Damn it. What did he do now." She muttered to her self, pushing past Al to look for her cat. "Snake. here Snake." She whispered edging herself to peek around the corner. "Damn it Snake." She said, and turned the corner fully to catch up with her pet. "Don't take so long." She said silently tiptoeing down the hallway. "Snake. here boy." She whispered. Looking from her cat, back to where she had left Al. Bending down to grab Snake, she notice that he had a rat clenched in his jaws. "No Snake drop." She said slapping his muzzle, so he droped the rat. After making her the rat was fine, Dove picked Snake up and headed back. "Well I understand that you might think I can't do it, but I can. If Flich were to come up right now behind me, I'd just say my cat got away and I need to get him." I replyed smoothly. "Or I say, that the professer, needed something and I lost track of time." Shrugging Dove was about to pass Al again when she stopped. "And if people really hate lying, you just say your stretching the truth." Dove nodded again. Holding Snake this time, she studied the boy again. He was tall, maybe a inch or two below, or above her own height. Dove how ever, had long blonde hair while Al, had middle length air that was brown... or black, what ever color you wanted to call it. She didn't really care. Than he looked at his robe and nodded. Pure Blood wizard. Her a mudblood. She flinched at her own thought. Than she looked away. "I get the feeling that you don't like taking to people from Delacroix house."

Al smirked at how quickly she had found her missing cat and at her quick reply to his skeptical remark about her success in throwing off Filch. Dove then eyed him again, looking him over as if trying to size him up. This made Al slightly uncomfortable in her presence; the only reason she would need to size him up would be if she wanted to duel. But then why would she just decide to duel after having properly introduced herself? The reason for the look over was soon explained in her next question, one that made Al shrug more out of habit than not really caring to answer. “I’ve always been taught to stick to our own, Pure-Bloods, so I’ve not really had many conversations with Half-Bloods or less. Though I don’t hold anything against Half-Bloods or Mudbloods even, I’ve just never really branched out....” he said nonchalantly, his posture now slipping to a slouch instead of standing up straight like he had been earlier. It really didn’t matter what your blood status was in Al’s eyes, so long as you could use magic and weren’t a Squib or a Muggle. And he knew that Dove was neither of those, but was now leaning heavily toward her being a Mudblood. His status in the school was the only thing his mother really cared about, and if she learned that he was ‘mingling’ with Mudbloods and their friends, he would be getting more than just an earful when he came back home for the Holidays. She was all for keeping the family name clean of the filth that had started to corrupt many of the other Pure-Blood families, and if Al dare smear his family name because he became friends with a Mudblood or two....Well lets just say she would find it the ultimate sin, just above marrying a Mudblood or Blood Traitor.
“No offence, but I come from a family who still can’t grasp that Mudbloods are alright to a degree, you know, they can use magic so they are witches and wizards....kinda like how a Squib should really be labeled as a Muggle.....So which are you? I’m guessing you’re a Mudblood, though I could be wrong...Don’t make a difference to me, it’s my mum who’ll go all loopy if she found out I talked to one.” Al’s words were serious, not a hint of a lie could be detected because he wasn’t lying. True, he didn’t think of Mudbloods as equals to wizards, but he wasn’t going to piss one off and verify that they were just as powerful, if not more so than Pure-Bloods or Half-Bloods.

Dove nodded. Wanting to yawn, but holding it back. True what he said, even if she was a mudblood, if she had been a pure-blood witch she more in likely be rude and un-kind. Dipping her head to look at Snake she petted Him gently. "Well, that's just plan stupid. You do know, just because people are different with blood, or should I say blood lines, doesn't mean there's anything wrong with them. Unless of course you count being thrown out..." She stopped dropped her cat and covered her mouth. "My mistake, won't happen again, I just can't stop talking." She laughed alittle, and than nodded. "None Offence taken Aldebaran." Dove added, and than she sighed. "Might as well come clean. True, I'm a Mudblood, and your mother's the one that's offencing us Mudbloods and Halfbloods. Lucky she not here now. I give her a mouth ful to hold on to." Rolling her eyes she added. "No Offence to you of course." Than she added with another roll of the eyes. "Ha, least your ma is still here. Mine left me with wizards and witchs just down the street. Lucky, Lucky you." Another roll of her eyes as he drove deeper into a pit. Than she took her stand. Standing tall and proud, alittle bit of course, she nodded. "And Snake here is odd like me." Shaking her hair, as it mad her feel hot, sweaty actually. "We found each other. I came here, and of course made fun of, and you see this little kitty, he was give away by his mother, I watched it happen. He was an outcast such as my house is, so.." She turned and grabed Snake and was about to walk away when she added. "..If you can, I have to go to flying than ditch my next class, cause I won't dare go to the Muggling classes. I'll be placed, or be the example. If you need me, I'll be in the Library." Than Dove raised her hand and Peaced him out. So she bolted. Her head high and proud as she turned the first corner and came face to face with Flich. Wanting to scream she turned and ran. Her feet scrabbing the ground as she headed for the library. The one place Flich, Snape or any body wouldn't look for her. She felt her heart race as he bolted down to more hall ways.
--Dove will be in the Library. =D (If you want to continue, we can post in the library thread?)--
