A Last Stand (set in Harry's 7th year)

The year is 1997, and war has revenged the Wizarding world. Friends have turned on one another, and families have been torn apart. With Headmaster Albus Dumbledore dead and Severus Snape in his place, corporal punishment is now being used on students who misbehave or mouth off. Namely, the dreaded cane.

Yet all is not lost. Leading a secret society called ‘Dumbledore’s Army’ is none other than Harry Potter-Lupin-Black. Confused yet? Okay, let me back up. You see, when Lily and James Potter were sold out to Lord Voldemort by Peter Pettigrew and murdered, everyone believed that Sirius Black had done it, since he was said to have been their Secret-Keeper. After a trial and the use of Veritaserum, he was proven innocent and set free.

Since Harry’s birth parents were dead, Sirius and his gay lover Remus Lupin adopted Harry and changed his name when he was only a year old. But they always kept pictures of James and Lily around so that Harry could see what his real parents looked like. Now, Sirius and Remus believe that spanking your child will help them grow up right, because every kid needs discipline in his or her life.

Examples: When Harry tried to retrieve the Sorcerer’s Stone and fought Professor Quirell/the ghost of Lord Voldemort in his first year, he was spanked with a wooden hairbrush over his boxers for doing something so foolish. The Chamber of Secrets? Hairbrushed. Almost dying at the Ministry and damn near taking Sirius with him? Paddled on the bare bottom, because that was a big infraction. And when tried to sneak off to fight Lord Voldemort this year and stated that “he wasn’t going back to Hogwarts because Dumbledore left him a mission”, he was paddled over the boxers again and then made to stand in the corner like a little kid, since “he didn’t know how to make adult decisions.”

And the list goes on. Finally, under threat of death (not literally) and the worst punishment ever, Harry has agreed to stay at Hogwarts and let the Order of the Phoenix handle Voldemort. After all, Gryffindor needs its’ Quidditch captain and star Seeker. His job? To gain intelligence on the goings-on at Hogwarts and keep the Order posted. With Draco Malfoy as Head Boy and Hermione Granger as Head Girl, things are sure to be...interesting.
