In the year 1970, a boy named Remus Lupin began his first year at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Of course he was special, every student at Hogwarts is, but there was one thing that set him apart from all the others. He was a werewolf.

Headmaster Dumbledore took pity on him and decided that if the right precautions were taken, Remus could attend school. So a tree, nicknamed the 'Whomping Willow', was planted over an entrance to a shack that was in the nearby town of Hogsmeade; and Remus was taken there once a month, on the full moon.

After awhile his friends, James Potter, Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew, pieced together why he disappeared every month. But they didn't run away like Remus thought they would. In fact, they did the unthinkable, they decided to become animagus-or become able to transform into an animal at will. It was too dangerous for them to be with Remus, while they were human. If they were animals they would be able to calm him and make sure that he didn't bite anyone.

It's now 1974, and the friends-they call themselves 'The Marauders'- have finally learned the complex spells that will enable them to become animagi. With them roaming the grounds at night who knows what could happen. Especially with James' long time enemy Severus Snape spying on them, trying to get them in trouble. With all this going on, will you be able to get your mischief managed?
