Everyone always wants to know how it's going to end. They want to be in charge of it all, to dictate the roll of the dice. They want command over the seasons. They want to see everything. I'd thought before that I knew exactly how it was all going to end. But now, I can't even remember the beginning. Oh, and there is no end.
After a long year of blood, toil, sweat and tears - most literally - BELLA SWAN and EDWARD CULLEN are getting married. Or, at least, that's what ALICE has seen - a fullblown wedding, with a long, shimmery veil, high heels, and a huge staircase. Bella herself isn't so sure - she'd much rather prefer something with EMMETT reading the vows, or a drive-through deal in Vegas, anything to keep ROSALIE out of her hair - literally, again. Except nobody really knows exactly what's going to happen, how - if? - he's going to propose. Everyone knows what they want, especially CARLISLE and ESME, who are starting to become slightly annoyed with the escalating drama. And JASPER just wants the whole thing to be over, and emotions to run low again.
But that's not going to happen. Especially because of the shifter involvement. SAM ULEY still has control of his pack, but all good things must end, and JACOB is getting a little fed up with him. None of the wolves want to see Bella married to a leech, but not all of them are willing to fight hard against the Cullens. Meanwhile, many of the wolves, especially QUIL and EMBRY, are now trying to decide which alpha they're going to be more loyal to, when the pack inevitably splits in two again. Plus, there have been some new additions, and the pack is larger than ever - almost large enough to have the Cullens worried, especially since the treaty is incredibly fragile.
Life is drama, really, especially this life. Arguments are prevalent. There have been rumors of other vampires in the area, while the humans stay naive as ever - MIKE NEWTON is still trying to get Bella to go out with him. That, at least, is one ending that's probably never going to happen, even in an immortal lifespan. Anything else is possible.
